What is a Kanban Board?
A kanban board is a tool that was created by Toyota to help them track and organize their work. It is a visual system of managing tasks in which cards are moved across the board. The kanban board consists of three columns:
"To do" - cards that need to be done
"Doing" -cards that are currently being worked on
"Done" - cards that have been completed
The idea behind this system is to limit the number of tasks in progress at any given time, which helps with prioritizing and focus. It also helps with assessing how much work needs to be done to complete an objective.
Kanban boards are used to visualize the workflow process in order to identify potential bottlenecks and prevent them from happening. A Kanban board can be used by any team that is involved in complex, sequential tasks.
